SR0 - SRM01 Il Primo Motore Alfa, Il 24 Hp (1910) Scala 1/43

Sul finire del 1909, quando la progettazione era ormai terminata, Alexandre Darracq decise di vendere la fabbrica ad un gruppo di finanzieri intenzionati a entrare nel mercato dell'automobile.
La 24 HP è la prima autovettura realizzata dall’A.L.F.A. acronimo di Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili (che in seguito diventò l'Alfa Romeo) ed è stata prodotta dal 1910 al 1913.
Il progetto fu commissionato a Giuseppe Merosi dall'amministratore delegato della "Società Italiana Automobili Darracq" Ugo Stella.
Nacque così l'autotelaio "24 HP", dotato di un motore monoblocco in ghisa quadricilindrico in linea di 4.082 cm³, con valvole laterali comandate da albero a camme nel basamento e cambio a 4 marce, che erogava inizialmente la potenza di 42 CV a 2200 giri.
Tale potenza venne ulteriormente incrementata a 45 CV per le "24 HP serie C" del 1912 e "24 HP serie D" del 1913 e salì a 49 CV per la "20/30 HP serie E" del 1914 che rappresenta l'ultima evoluzione del modello.

At the end of 1909, when the planning was completed, Alexandre Darracq decided to sell the factory to a group of financiers intent on entering the automobile market.
The 24 HP is the first car built by A.L.F.A. acronym of Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili (which later became Alfa Romeo) and was produced from 1910 to 1913.
The project was commissioned to Giuseppe Merosi by the managing director of the "Società Italiana Automobili Darracq" Ugo Stella.
Thus was born the "24 HP" chassis, equipped with a four-cylinder in-line cast iron monobloc engine of 4,082 cm³, with side valves controlled by a camshaft in the crankcase and a 4-speed gearbox, which initially delivered the power of 42 HP at 2200 turns.
This power was further increased to 45 HP for the "24 HP series C" of 1912 and "24 HP series D" of 1913 and rose to 49 HP for the "20/30 HP series E" of 1914 which represents the latest evolution of the model.
